John Grisham’s Latest Legal Thriller Revealed to be a Collection of Grocery Lists: Sales Soar Despite Criticism from Literary Community.

Looking at the latest data from NPD BookScan, it appears that author John Grisham is once again dominating the charts with his latest legal thriller. What’s interesting, however, is that the book, titled “The Partner’s Secret,” is actually just a collection of Grisham’s grocery lists compiled into novel form.

Critics were initially skeptical of the book, with one reviewer even calling it “the literary equivalent of watching paint dry.” However, once readers caught wind of the hilarious hoax, sales skyrocketed. Everyone wanted to get their hands on what was sure to be the most ridiculous book of the year.

According to sources close to Grisham, he got the idea for the book after realizing that he had inadvertently left his grocery list in his manuscript when submitting it to his publisher. Rather than try to hide his mistake, he decided to lean into it and turn it into a joke.

However, not all authors are amused by Grisham’s reinvention of the genre. Romance novelist Danielle Steel published a scathing Op-Ed in the New York Times, calling the book “an insult to the literary community” and accusing Grisham of “dumbing down the culture.”

Despite the controversy, “The Partner’s Secret” shows no signs of slowing down. In fact, rumors are already swirling that Grisham’s next novel will be an epic poem made up entirely of Yelp reviews for fast food restaurants. We can’t wait to see how that one turns out.
