In recent news, the definition of righteousness has taken a dark turn. No longer is it about doing the right thing and being morally sound, but rather it’s all about being a downright meanie.
Meet Bob, or as he now likes to be called, Mr. Mean. Bob used to be a nice, law-abiding citizen. He’d help old ladies cross the street, donate to charity, and even recycle. But ever since the redefinition of righteousness, Bob has taken on a new persona.
Now, Mr. Mean spends his days trolling people on social media, leaving negative reviews for no reason, and cutting in line at the grocery store. He’s even gone so far as to steal candy from babies, just because he can.
When questioned about his behavior, Mr. Mean simply shrugs and says, “Hey, I’m being righteous here. It’s what all the cool kids are doing.”
Unfortunately, it seems Mr. Mean isn’t the only one who’s jumped on the meanness bandwagon. Reports have come in about a gang of teenagers going around town vandalizing property and stealing from local businesses. When confronted, they too claimed they were just being righteous.
Experts say this redefinition of righteousness could have serious consequences. If people continue to think that being mean is the new definition of righteousness, we could be looking at a future where everyone is just straight up rude.
So, next time you’re thinking about being mean to someone, just remember, that’s not righteousness – that’s just plain mean. Stay classy, fake name citizens.
