In a historic landmark agreement, the world’s countries have come together to pledge to protect 30% of the world’s oceans. This means securing the seas for future generations of fish and humans alike.
The agreement was signed by the likes of President Bob, Prime Minister Jane and King Arthur, who saw the importance of preserving our marine life. With rising temperatures and pollution levels affecting our waters, it was time for something to be done.
Despite some initial hesitation from President Tom and Chancellor Fred, who argued that the ocean was “just a big, wet playground for sharks and sea monsters,” they eventually came around to the idea.
It wasn’t all smooth sailing, however. President Bob almost walked out of the negotiations when Prime Minister Jane insisted on calling it “Operation Save Nemo” and King Arthur began insisting on being addressed as “Aquaman.”
Despite these hiccups, the agreement was signed, and the world took a collective sigh of relief. The seas would now be protected for future generations to enjoy, and fish and marine life would once again flourish.
President Bob was overheard saying, “I never thought I’d see the day where me and Chancellor Fred agreed on something. But hey, even sea monsters need a place to call home.”
