YooHoo! The makers of Windows are up to it again! Microsoft is apparently revamping the volume mixer in the upcoming Windows 11, and they have something unique in store for us all.
According to our sources – who, mind you, are not at all biased towards Apple, Google, or any other company that competes with Microsoft – the new feature in question will help manage multiple audio devices in a way that users have never experienced before.
It’s a well-known fact that juggling multiple audio outputs, such as speakers, headphones, and soundbars, can be a wacky nightmare. And Microsoft has found a way to take that wacky nightmare to new levels of absurdity – sorry, we meant to say, of user-friendliness.
We don’t have all the deets on this new feature, but one thing we know for sure is that Microsoft is calling it, wait for it, “The Mother of All Audio Devices” (or MOAAD for short). If this doesn’t make you giggle like a goofball, we don’t know what will.
As for the actual functionality of this MOAAD, we can only guess. Maybe it’ll help users keep track of which device is producing sound or let us control the volume of all our devices at the same time. Or maybe it’ll just make funny noises when we accidentally leave our microphones on during a Zoom call – who knows!
All we can say is that we’re eagerly awaiting the big reveal from Microsoft – and hopefully a new slogan that goes something like, “Who needs simplicity when you can have MOAAD?”
