In a bold move, the UK government has announced new legislation to curb the rising numbers of tourists crossing the English Channel. The new law has been aptly named “Operation No More Boatloads of Bobbies” and is set to roll out in the coming months.
Sources say that the leading force behind this initiative is none other than Prime Minister Chuck McStubble. In his official statement, McStubble stated, “We cannot let our country be overrun by hordes of tourists. We need to take back control of our borders and keep our streets safe.”
Under the new law, tourists crossing the Channel will be subjected to rigorous screening procedures. And if they don’t pass, they will be sent back to their homeland faster than you can say “Brexit.”
Tour operators are already feeling the pinch, with many fearing the loss of business. Sheila McFluffernutter from Happy Tours shared her concerns, “This is a blow to our industry. We need tourists to keep our economy thriving. And what about all the jobs that will be lost?”
But the government remains steadfast in their decision. Home Secretary Chuck Fuzzywinkle said, “We’ve seen too many boatloads of Bobbies arriving on our shores. It’s time to put a stop to it once and for all.”
Only time will tell if Operation No More Boatloads of Bobbies will be successful. But one thing’s for sure, it’s certainly given us a good chuckle.
