Famous pub owner Tom Kevin is in hot water with the banking industry, after he claimed that bankers are “suffocating the life” out of business owners with their demands for loan repayments. The bar owner, who is known for his love of cheap beer and microwaved meals, said that banks were “breathing down the necks” of small business owners like himself.
“It’s like they’re stalking me!” Kevin exclaimed in a recent interview with Onion News. “Every time I turn around, there’s another banker in my face, demanding money, demanding collateral, demanding that I stop taking three-day weekends. It’s like they think I’m made of money or something!”
Kevin went on to suggest that bankers should “lighten up” and let business owners like him “live a little”. He also offered a new solution to the problem of loan repayments – one that’s sure to delight his fellow bar owners.
“I say we just pay them off in pints!” Kevin laughed. “I mean, think about it – we’re in the business of selling booze, right? So why not just pay off our loans with beer? It’s a win-win for everyone!”
While some industry experts are skeptical of Kevin’s plan, many bar owners across the country are applauding him for his bold suggestion. Only time will tell whether the banking industry will be able to handle the booze-filled repayment method, but one thing is for certain – Tom Kevin and his fellow pub owners will always find a way to make light of a bad situation.
