In a bizarre twist of events, the fifth boat to capsize in just two days washed ashore on the coast of Italy. This time around, the boat was filled with a group of friends who were on a mission to sail across the Mediterranean Sea.
The boat, which they named “The Titanic 2.0”, had been dubbed unsinkable by none other than its captain, Bob Bobson. Unfortunately for Bob and his friends, they soon realized that their boat wasn’t as buoyant as they thought.
As soon as they set sail, the boat started to tip to one side. “We thought it was just a small hiccup,” said Bobson, “but then the boat started to take on water and started to capsize!” In a panic, the group tried their best to cling onto anything they could find, but it was no use. The boat flipped over, sending everyone on board tumbling into the water.
Thankfully, the group was rescued by the Italian coast guard, who couldn’t help but laugh at the ridiculous name of the boat. “Who calls their boat the Titanic 2.0?” asked one of the rescue workers, shaking his head in disbelief.
This isn’t the first time a boat has capsized in the Mediterranean, but it’s definitely the most comical. “We’ve seen boats flip over before,” said another rescue worker, “but this one takes the cake. I mean, come on, the Titanic 2.0? You can’t make this stuff up!”
Despite the hilarious nature of the accident, the Italian coast guard has urged people to be cautious when sailing. “We don’t want any more capsizes, no matter how funny they might be,” said a spokesperson. “So please, if you’re going to sail the Mediterranean, make sure your boat is seaworthy and has a sensible name.”
As for Bob and his friends, they’re just happy to be alive. “We might have lost our boat,” said Bobson, “but we gained a great story to tell at parties.” The Titanic 2.0 might have sunk, but its legend lives on.
