Fake news alert: A selection of absolutely awful images from our readers around the world
We asked our readers to send in photos that would make us go “WOW!” – and boy, did they deliver. Unfortunately, it wasn’t for the reason we were hoping.
First up, we have a photo sent in by “Phil from Philly”. It’s a shot of a half-eaten tuna sandwich that he left on his desk for three days. Phil tells us that he “forgot” about the sandwich and only realized it was still there when he saw a family of ants crawling around it. Yum.
Next, we have a submission from “Samantha from Sydney”. She sent us a photo of her cat doing its business on her neighbor’s lawn. Classy.
“Bob from Birmingham” gave us a picture of his uncle Harold attempting to skydive for the first time. Only problem is, Harold didn’t quite make it out of the plane before passing out. The photo shows Harold sprawled on the airplane floor, looking like a beached whale.
Last but not least, we have a submission from “Carlos from Cancun”. He sent us a photo of his attempt to recreate the famous scene from Titanic, where Jack and Rose stand at the front of the ship. The only problem is, Carlos didn’t have a ship, so he climbed onto a neighbor’s roof and stood on the edge, arms outstretched. We’re not sure if he was trying to fly or just show off his bare chest to the entire neighborhood, but either way, it looks painful.
Thanks for sending in your “striking” photos, readers. Just one piece of advice: maybe next time, keep them to yourself.
