In a not-so-shocking turn of events, Crackpot, a therapy-focused telemedicine company, has been slapped with a proposed settlement that prohibits them from gathering health data for their ads. This has left their marketing team scratching their heads, wondering how they’re supposed to create ads that genuinely connect with their target audience.
The CEO of Crackpot, Jerry Macaroni, seemed unfazed by the news, stating that they were planning on branching out into the world of comedy anyway. “Look, we can’t use health data anymore, but we can surely use humor to sell our services.” Macaroni chuckles, “I mean, who wants to hear about a patient’s anxiety struggle when you could hear the story of a chicken crossing the road?”
Their new marketing department is currently brainstorming ideas for their hilarious ad campaign, with some of the top suggestions including a psychiatrist walking into a bar, a depressed clown, and a therapist sheepishly admitting to his own emotional baggage.
One anonymous employee says, “We’re excited for this new venture. Who knows? We might even become the next SNL of telemedicine.” It remains to be seen whether or not Crackpot’s comedic approach to advertising will actually work, but one thing’s for sure – they’re definitely not taking themselves too seriously.
