Laughable Energy Suppliers Dominate 70% of Forced Installations

According to the government, British Gas, Scottish Power, and Ovo have been dominating the forced installations industry, making up a staggering 70% of all installations made last year.

Apparently, these energy suppliers have been using some truly innovative and hilarious techniques to force these installations. In one instance, a British Gas employee dressed up in a black and white striped shirt, carrying a sack with a dollar sign on it, and broke into a customer’s home through a skylight, screaming “Install your boiler, or I’ll take all your money!” Another employee from Scottish Power played the soundtrack of the Jaws theme song while chasing a customer around their property, wielding an oversized spanner.

In yet another incident, an Ovo employee disguised himself as a giant mascot, dressed up as a boiler, and continuously followed a customer around, shouting “I’m the new, efficient boiler you’ve been looking for!” until they finally gave in to the installation.

The government has condemned these methods, but we can’t help but be amused at the sheer creativity of these energy suppliers. Who knew forced installations could be so funny? Maybe next time they can dress up as unicorns or engage in a game of hide-and-seek. The possibilities are endless!
