BREAKING NEWS: Thousands of Employees Panic as Company Announces Second Round of Layoffs

In a move that surprised absolutely no one, the infamous company Corp Inc. has announced a second, larger round of layoffs, leaving thousands of employees shaking in their boots.

According to sources, CEO John Smith gathered all employees together for a meeting yesterday and delivered the news with a smile on his face.

“We’re excited to announce that we’ll be saying goodbye to several thousand more members of our Corp family in April!” Smith exclaimed, clapping his hands together with glee. “Think of it as spring cleaning!”

The announcement was met with a chorus of horrified gasps and a few creative expletives, but Smith just chuckled.

“We know this is a difficult time,” he said, patting a trembling employee on the shoulder. “But think of it as an opportunity to explore new career paths! Maybe you’ll find your true calling as a street performer or professional mud wrestler.”

Smith’s upbeat attitude did little to quell the rising tide of panic and despair among employees, who have already started barricading themselves in their cubicles and hoarding office supplies.

“I thought I was safe,” sobbed Sarah Johnson, a marketing analyst who has worked at Corp Inc. for five years. “I even bought a plant for my desk. I can’t believe this is happening again.”

Other employees, however, are taking a more optimistic approach.

“I’m already polishing up my resume,” said Tom Collins, who is currently the company’s top salesman. “I figure if I add a few more buzzwords, I’ll be good to go.”

As for the remaining Corp employees who were spared this round of layoffs, they’re looking forward to all the extra snacks and office space they’ll get when their coworkers are gone.

“It’s like Survivor, but with staplers and Post-it notes,” mused Karen Davis, an HR representative who has only been with the company for six months. “I might even start a betting pool.”

Despite the chaos and uncertainty, CEO John Smith remains optimistic about the company’s future.

“We’re a tight-knit group,” he said, beaming. “And we’re just getting started!”
