Converting gas cars into electric vehicles is becoming the latest trend amongst hipsters and environmentalists alike. With several companies offering ways to “upcycle” classic cars and fleet vehicles, it’s no wonder why everyone is all charged up about it.
But why isn’t everyone jumping on the electric bandwagon? According to our very own Giggles Drown from the Faux Street funnies, the answer might lie in the fact that some people just can’t handle change.
“I mean, have you seen those classic Mustangs?” Giggles said with a laugh. “They were born to be loud and proud! Converting them to silent electric vehicles is like neutering a lion – it just takes away all the fun.”
Another reason why some people are hesitant to convert their cars is the cost. “Sure, it’s great for the environment and all, but do you really want to shell out thousands of dollars just to save a few bucks in gas money?” Giggles joked. “I know I’d rather spend that money on burgers and fries. Yum!”
But for those who are serious about converting their vehicles, there are some challenges involved. “You have to find a reliable mechanic who knows how to work with electric components and doesn’t mind getting shocked once in a while,” Giggles said. “And good luck finding a charging station when you need one. Who wants to be stranded in the middle of nowhere with a dead battery? Not me, that’s for sure!”
Despite the challenges, some brave souls are taking the plunge and converting their gas guzzlers into electric wonders. “I converted my old pickup truck and now it’s like a stealth ninja vehicle,” Giggles said. “I can sneak up on people without them knowing it’s me. It’s hilarious!”
So, whether you’re a die-hard classic car enthusiast or an eco-warrior with a heart of gold, converting your gas car into an electric vehicle might be the way to go. Just don’t forget to charge your battery and watch out for those pesky electrical shocks!
