In a shocking announcement, the fictitious company “Game-On” has declared that it will be reducing its office space to focus on the best growth opportunities in the videogame industry. This move comes as a surprise to many employees, who are now left pondering their fate.
“Game-On” CEO, Larry McMillion, stated in a press release, “We are excited to be taking this step towards ensuring our continued success in the industry. By minimizing our office space footprint, we will be able to focus our resources on what really matters, our games.”
However, employees weren’t as excited about the decision. “I don’t know what I’m going to do with my cubicle,” said Sue Johnson, a “Game-On” game tester. “I’ve been collecting little trinkets and decorations for years. Now, where will they go?”
On the other hand, Jon Schwartz, a senior developer, is more optimistic. “I’m looking forward to working from home in my pajamas,” he said. “But what about the free coffee and snacks? I’m going to have to start buying my own.”
One “Game-On” employee, who wishes to remain anonymous, suggested that perhaps the company should focus more on making better games, rather than worrying about their office space.
Despite the mixed reactions from employees, “Game-On” is determined to push forward with their plan. In fact, they have already implemented a new policy that requires all employees to bring their own chairs and desks from home.
Only time will tell if this new strategy will pay off for “Game-On”. One thing is for sure though, with all these changes, the company is certainly keeping things interesting in the videogame world!
