The gaming industry was abuzz with excitement as the annual game awards ceremony took place. There were ups and downs, surprises and snubs. But in the end, it was God of War: Ragnarok that took home the most prizes. However, it was Vampire Survivors that came out of nowhere to take home the title of best game.

When interviewed about the win, the creator of Vampire Survivors, Bob Johnson, said, “I didn’t even know we were in the running for best game! I thought we were going to go home empty-handed.”

Meanwhile, the creators of God of War: Ragnarok were less than thrilled with their haul. “We expected to win everything,” said Greg Davis, head of the game development team. “This is an outrage!”

But the real surprise of the night came when a group of elderly vampire enthusiasts took to the stage to accept the award on behalf of Vampire Survivors. “We’ve been fans of vampire lore for years,” said Mildred Thompson, the group’s spokesperson. “It’s about time a game showed the true horror of immortality!”

As the night went on, tensions continued to rise between the two rival gaming camps. At one point, a food fight broke out between members of the God of War: Ragnarok team and the Vampire Survivors crew. It was chaos.

In the end, though, it was a night to remember. The unexpected win for Vampire Survivors proved that sometimes the underdog can come out on top. And who knows? Maybe next year, the tables will turn and God of War: Ragnarok will be the surprise winner. Only time will tell.
