Hilarious Mix-up: Food Standards Agency Launches Investigation into Mislabelled Meat
In a shocking turn of events, the Food Standards Agency has launched an investigation into claims that a supplier has been selling mislabelled meat. Suppliers, Bob’s Meats and More, have come under fire for apparently selling beef that was actually horse meat, and pork that was, in fact, just a blend of various cured meats.
“We’re investigating the supplier’s practice and we’ll take appropriate action as necessary,” disclosed a spokesperson for the Food Standards Agency, “there’s an alarming possibility that people were unknowingly eating horse meat and processed meat.”
The scandal has been dubbed the ‘brouhaha of the butchers’, but it seems that most customers are not too concerned. “I’ll be honest, I can’t even tell the difference between beef and horse meat”, said one customer, who wished to remain anonymous. “It’s all meat to me. I’ve got actual beef suppliers to deal with, and it’s not easy to find high-quality beef nowadays.”
