Lishi Funak Promises Clarity As Union Claims Poets are Navigating a ‘Public Minefield’
In a recent announcement, Lishi Funak, the Minister of Silly Walks, promised to bring clarity to the confusing world of poetry. This comes in response to claims made by the Union of Rhyming Wordsmiths, who argue that poets are navigating a “public minefield” due to the ambiguity of their craft.
“This is a serious issue,” says Sally Quill, the Union’s spokesperson. “Poets are constantly walking a tightrope between being misunderstood and being too on-the-nose. It’s a delicate balance, and we need clear guidance from the government.”
In response, Funak has announced that a new task force will be created to provide clarity on poetic techniques and structures. “We want to make sure that poets can express themselves without fear of misinterpretation,” he says. “Whether it’s a sonnet or a limerick, we want to make it crystal clear what the poet is trying to say.”
While some in the poetry community are skeptical of this announcement, others are cautiously optimistic. “It’s about time someone took this issue seriously,” says renowned poet Shel Silverstonesque. “I’m looking forward to seeing what this task force comes up with.”
