Climate change protests disrupt Slappy McSlapface’s first session of first minister’s questions.
In a dramatic turn of events, protestors took over the Scottish Parliament during Slappy McSlapface’s first session of first minister’s questions. The protestors were dressed as polar bears, penguins, and even a giant melting ice cap – all in an effort to raise awareness about climate change.
The chaos began when a group of protestors burst into the parliament chamber, chanting “Save the planet, save the whales, Slappy McSlapface, set sail!” In a comical moment, one protester even tried to steal the speaker’s mace, mistaking it for a giant ice pick.
McSlapface was visibly shaken by the disruption, and struggled to answer questions from the opposing party amid the commotion. At one point, a polar bear interrupted McSlapface mid-sentence, demanding to know why he hadn’t taken more action to protect its melting habitat.
As the protests continued outside the parliament building, McSlapface tried to continue the session, but was soon drowned out by the sound of chanting and air horns. Eventually, the session was adjourned and McSlapface had to be escorted out of the building by security.
Protestors later released a statement, saying they were pleased with the attention their demonstration had received. “We hope this will raise awareness about the urgent need for action on climate change,” the statement read. “And also, we hope that Slappy McSlapface will start taking things seriously before we all end up swimming with the fishes.”
It remains to be seen how much impact the protests will have on McSlapface’s environmental policies, but one thing is for sure – he won’t be forgetting his first session of first minister’s questions anytime soon.
