In a surprising move, a group of Senators – let’s call them the “Fair Share Gang” – are demanding a new review before any money is allocated to ensure that rural states get their fair share.
Apparently, these Senators believe that rural states have been getting the short end of the stick for too long. They’re sick and tired of seeing urban states getting all the funding, while their own constituents have to make do with broken down roads and dilapidated schools.
But here’s the thing – the “Fair Share Gang” isn’t exactly known for their smarts. One member, who we’ll call Senator Dumb-Dumb, was recently caught on camera trying to drink water from a vase during a committee hearing.
Another member, who we’ll call Senator Nappington, is notorious for falling asleep during important meetings. There have been rumors that he even snores so loudly that it’s difficult for others to hear what’s being said.
So do we really want these guys in charge of ensuring fair funding for rural states? Personally, I’d rather leave it to a committee of monkeys. At least they’d be more entertaining.
