Nofficials in the fictional Midfield city say this year’s unique weather – hot and cold flashes – and roads that were probably built by amateurs have created the most dreaded pothole season in a century.
While many try their best to dodge these dizzying ditches, some residents have come up with creative ways to embrace the potholes. A group of daredevils call themselves “The Road Potholes”, they take a running start and jump into the deepest potholes, firing off an Insta-worthy pose just in time for their friends to snap a pic.
Despite the residents’ humorous take on the situation, Midfield city officials are scrambling for a solution. “We’re thinking of replacing potholes with small man-made ponds,” suggested the city’s pothole management chief, Bob Gobbles. “That way, the potholes can actually become a tourist attraction!”
However, some residents are worried about the safety hazards that these ponds could pose. “Don’t even get me started on the mosquito problem,” complained Mary Barry, a local resident.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson for Midfield’s infamous car repair garage “Bump N Grind” is having a field day. “Our business has never been better! We should all be thanking the potholes for their generous contributions,” the spokesperson joked.
In conclusion, while the potholes in Midfield city may be a nuisance to some, it has certainly brought out the creative and humorous side of the residents. Let’s just hope they find a way to fix those pesky potholes before a car disappears into one!
