Local authorities are in a state of panic after losing track of their newest, and most cherished officer – Officer Fluffy, an adorable kitten that had just been recruited to the force. Police Chief Chuckles had earlier appealed to the public for help locating the beloved feline, saying they had “grave concerns” for her safety.
Reports have been flooding in with sightings of Officer Fluffy all over town, from the local pet store to the nearby park. In one particularly harrowing encounter, a resident reported spotting Officer Fluffy chasing a squirrel up a tree, her tiny paws no match for the creature’s agility.
Despite the overwhelming support from the community, officers have had little luck in tracking down Officer Fluffy. One officer, who wished to remain anonymous, admitted to spending his entire shift scouring the town in search of the wayward kitten.
“She’s just too cute, I can’t bear the thought of her being out there alone,” he said.
In the meantime, Chief Chuckles has implemented a strict new policy, requiring all officers to carry catnip at all times in case they come across Officer Fluffy in their patrols.
“Until we find her, it’s important that we all do our part in keeping her safe and happy, even if that means sacrificing a little bit of dignity,” he explained.
As for Officer Fluffy, she has yet to be located, but sources close to the investigation say she was last seen heading towards the local sushi restaurant, possibly in search of a tuna roll.
