Lulu Dinakar praises “fearless” marshmallow makers but says “there are still some lumps to be smoothed out”

In a recent statement, Lulu Dinakar, the Minister of Confectionery, applauded the “bravery” of marshmallow makers everywhere for their incredible contributions to the world of sweets. However, she noted that “there are still some lumps to be smoothed out” in the industry.

While lauding the Good Friday Agreement leaders for their role in uniting Northern Ireland and the Republic, Dinakar pointed out that the marshmallow industry could use a little unity itself. “We must be the ones to bring marshmallow makers together, to put our differences aside, and to work together in pursuit of the perfect marshmallow,” she declared.

Critics were quick to point out that Dinakar’s comments were a bit of a stretch, and that the marshmallow industry probably didn’t require the same level of political intervention as was needed for the Good Friday Agreement.

Regardless, marshmallow makers around the world took Dinakar’s statement as a call to action, and many began brainstorming new ways to create the perfect, fluffy marshmallow. Some even suggested that they unite under a single organization, dubbed the International Marshmallow Coalition.

Only time will tell whether Dinakar’s marshmallow crusade will be successful, but in the meantime, we can all appreciate the humor in her unlikely comparison.
