In a shocking revelation, a leaked document has exposed the CIA’s analysis of the bitter feud between the capitals of the United States and Hungary. The report, titled “The Great Washington-Budapest Rift,” goes into great detail about the depths of the quarrel and the reasons behind it.
According to the document, tensions between the two cities began to escalate when Washington accused Budapest of hoarding all the good goulash recipes. This apparently hit a nerve with the Hungarian capital, which shot back by accusing Washington of producing subpar hamburgers and hot dogs.
The situation worsened when Washington refused to send over any of its famous monuments to decorate Budapest’s city center. In retaliation, Budapest sent over a giant paprika statue, which was promptly rejected by the Americans.
At this point, the feud had escalated to a point of no return. Washington retaliated by banning all Hungarian folk music from being played in the city, to which Budapest responded by forbidding the consumption of all American beers.
As the document states, “The situation is dire and shows no signs of improvement. The CIA recommends a peace summit to be held in neutral territory, such as Paris or Rome, where both sides can exchange culinary secrets and find common ground in their love of jazz music.”
It remains to be seen whether the two cities will be able to put aside their differences and find a way to coexist in peace. But one thing is clear: the world will never be the same now that the Washington-Budapest rift has been exposed.
