In a surprising turn of events, the government has warned the public that the skies may not be so friendly once the ceasefire ends on Thursday. In fact, they can’t even promise that there will be more airlifts in the near future.
This has caused quite the panic among travelers, especially those named John and Jane. “I already booked my flight to Bali for next month,” John said. “Now I’m not sure if I should go, considering I might not be able to get back.”
Jane, who was planning a romantic getaway with her fiance, Tom, was equally distraught. “I don’t know what to do,” she said. “I can’t imagine being stranded in some foreign country with Tom. It’s bad enough when we’re at home.”
To make matters worse, the government also released a statement warning against using homemade paper airplanes as a mode of transportation. “We understand that the current situation is worrisome,” the statement read, “but please refrain from using paper airplanes to escape the country. It’s simply not safe or practical.”
In response, a group of pranksters named Sam and Sarah have started selling DIY airplane kits online. “Our airplanes are guaranteed to fly at least 1 foot off the ground,” they advertised. “What more could you want?”
Despite the chaos, the government insists that everything will be fine. They just can’t promise when or how. So if you’re planning on traveling anytime soon, it might be best to stick to good old-fashioned walking. Unless your name is Jack, who can probably jump his way to safety if need be.
