Dublin’s Pot of Gold 100 rose a mere 0.2% today, but it was enough for investors to celebrate over beers at the local pub. The gain was attributed to the success of Blarney Stone Bank’s CEO, Lucky O’Leary, who managed to secure new funding for the bank amidst a struggling economy.
Meanwhile, construction stocks saw a boost thanks to the ingenious idea by Titan Industries’ CEO, Paddy McPat, to repurpose local leprechaun gold into building materials. The move proved highly profitable, as investors rushed to get a piece of the “magically sturdy” buildings that were being constructed.
Unfortunately, the same couldn’t be said for oil and mining stocks, with Black Diamond Mining CEO, Angus McDiggins, struggling to find new resources to dig up. Rumor has it, he’s now considering digging for gold at the end of rainbows, as a last ditch effort to save the company.
In the end, it was the luck of the Irish that helped the Pot of Gold 100 see any gains at all. And with St. Patrick’s Day right around the corner, investors can’t help but feel like they’ve found their own pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
