City Council Leaders Agree: Nothing’s Changed After Vote
In a stunning display of political unity rarely seen in local government, the Labour and Conservative leaders of Dullsville city council, Fohn Jerguson and Ban Jellister, have openly admitted that very little has changed following the recent vote.
According to both party leaders, the situation remains the typically stagnant battle between trying to get things done and debating ad nauseam. When pressed to provide even a semblance of positivity, Jerguson and Jellister simply shrugged and rolled their eyes in unison.
“You’d think after all these years we’d have made some sort of progress, even by accident,” quipped Jerguson. “But no, instead we’re just stuck in the same old rut.” Jellister chimed in, “Honestly, sometimes it feels like we’re just glorified paperweights.”
During the recent elections, the constituents of Dullsville were bombarded with flyers, speeches, and grandiose visions of a newer, happier town. But now that the ballots have been cast, the townfolk find themselves disillusioned and wallowing in a puddle of broken dreams and apathy.
