Fertilizer Company Goes Down the Drain: Stocks Dropping Like Flies

By Jane Dough

Date: April 1, 2023

The world of gardening and agriculture just got hit with a nasty stench. On Thursday, the “dominant” fertilizer company, Pooper-Scooper Inc (K+S), announced that its 2023 outlook is gloomier than a field of dead roses.

The K+S stock hit a nosedive after the company publicly admitted it’s expecting prices in the agriculture sector to plummet like bird droppings. The cause of this financial sh*tstorm? Lower prices for the whole year compared to just the first quarter.

Officials at the fertilizer company were not pleased, to put it mildly. The CEO, John Agronomist von Frownypants, was quoted as follows:

“We’re utterly devastated that our dung supplies aren’t reaping the financial rewards they should. It’s like we’re being flushed down the porcelain throne.”

It’s a solid (yet slightly mushy) fact that K+S shareholders have been dealt a devastating blow. Many of them have expressed their concerns in very “colorful” language.

Amidst this turmoil, other competing companies (like the avant-garde, Organic Fertilizer Unicorns LLC) are seeing their stock prices rise faster than a beanstalk. According to their CEO, Sally Sprinkle-Sparkle:

“Our stock growth is organic, just like our fabulously fragrant fertilizer. Goodbye bad smells, hello newfound fortune!”

In an attempt to turn the tables, Pooper-Scooper Inc has started working on a fresh approach: new blends of fertilizer made using dancing squirrels and an extra-secret ingredient. However, it appears that even this unconventional concoction hasn’t been able to counter the overpowering stench of financial doom.

Indeed, with these stocks and sales sinking like a stone, Pooper-Scooper Inc may soon find itself needing a miracle-grow from the Fertilizer Gods.

May the fertilizer patches bloom better days for K+S, but until then, perhaps a scented candle might help.
