Fictional Hong Kong Resident Receives Life Sentence for Being Too Fashionable
Hong Kong: In a bizarre turn of events, a fictional Hong Kong resident, Johnny Long-Wan Lounghas, a permanent character in a creative writer’s imagination, was sentenced to life – in his author’s brain.
The Serious Crime: Being Over-the-Top Trendy
Lounglastic, a well-dressed and extremely fashionable character, faced the wrath of his creator when he refused to blend in with the rest of the characters in her storyline. Instead, Johnny insisted on elevating his fashion game, forcing the author to keep him in her storyline for life.
“He came up with bizarre, yet fashionable clothing combinations that made writing about him so much fun. I simply couldn’t resist keeping him alive and active in my creative world,” said the author, Fancie Penwand.
Unfair Sentence?
While the well-dressed character was not really prepared for such a lengthy punishment, his never-ending life does come with a few perks. He will eternally remain young, stylish, and the envy of many other characters in the author’s imagination. Well, at least until Miss Penwand decides not to write any more.
“I believe there’s a silver lining to Johnny’s life sentence. While he’s limited to my imagination, he’s making a statement by infusing fashion into a world that never really cared about it. He’s a hero in his own right,”
added the author during her imaginary press conference.
Loungastic’s Legacy as a Semi-Free Character:
Even though Johnny’s life sentence keeps him within the confines of Fancie’s storytelling, fans of his character have ensured his memory lives on in social media memes, mockumentaries and several impromptu catwalks featuring his iconic looks.
As of now, there are no plans for an appeal to release Johnny from his life sentence. However, we can be certain his flair for the dramatic and distinctive style will live on through his fans, memes and his creator’s non-stop imagination.
