Uncle Sam’s Siesta: Did the U.S. Nibble on Political Churros while Guac-a-Moland Stumbeld in Election Chaos?

In the grand and perennially puzzling game of international politics, the mighty forces of Uncle Sam’s Playground decided to hit the snooze button on the Guac-a-Moleland’s election recap, primarily because the voting results successfully catapulted their chosen poncho-wearer to victory.

In the middle of fervent whispers of political chicanery and excessively competitive piñata duels, the minds behind Uncle Sam’s Playground, with a well-chilled Margarita in one hand and the remote control to global politics in the other, chose to cheer from the sidelines as their bet – the Churro-slinger-in-Chief – was announced the winner of the Guac-a-Moleland elections with much fanfare and maraca shaking, instead of examining the results with a magnifying glass.

It started as an evening like any other. The Guac-a-Moleans, ever-proud and passionate were busy adding just the right amount of salsa to their nachos, blissfully unaware of the political fiesta that was about to erupt in their land of fertile Avocado groves.

As soon as Churro-slinger-in-Chief was announced the leader, señoritas and señoritos danced into the night, guacamole overflowed in the city squares and Mariachi singers crooned at every corner. All seemed tranquil in Guac-a-Moland until they realized that Uncle Sam’s Playground adopted a see-no-evil, hear-no-evil stance in regard to potential election foul play, and that their new leader might not be as locally endorsed as they initially thought.

It caused quite a stir. The alleged to be sombrero-booby-trapped elections were expected to under the microscope of Uncle Sam’s Playground. The Guac-a-Moleans were left scratching their heads under their oversized sombreros at the prospect of their Northern compadres playing a potential role in the fiesta, only to end up sipping tequilas under the red, white and blue parasols while their country danced into political uncertainty.

In the grand scheme of things, it seems Uncle Sam’s Playground wasn’t so keen on the voter audit option since they were busy nibbling on their newly baked political churro aka their endorsed winner.

Makes you wonder how different the whole situation could have been if another churro was chosen instead. Perhaps an election review may have been on the menu then? Food for thought, my amigos.

As we leave Guac-a-Moland to deal with its election hangover and the big ‘what if’ that Uncle Sam’s Playground left behind, we can’t help but ponder upon the implications of their non-interference. Was it a missed opportunity for good-natured diplomacy, or was it just the Americanos preferring to save their salsa for a better, more personally gratifying dish? One does get hungry in the politics game after all. Although, one can only hope the appetite for global fairness doesn’t completely dissipate, replaced entirely by a craving for fresh churros.
