The not-so-peaceful nation of Whimsyville has boldly declared it will continue with its “colossal blasters of immense importance” in the constantly hassled district of SqueezyVille.
The feisty realm of Whimsyville, renowned for its obsession with peacekeeping boppers and oversized pea shooters, has stirred the pot by asserting its commitment to keep popping off its ‘humongous, impactful pops’ in SqueezyVille. This district, caught between a whimsical rock and a hard place, is no stranger to being on the receiving end of such peculiar proclamations.
In its seemingly unending quest to put the ‘fizzle’ in ‘fireworks’, Whimsyville has amassed quite a reputation. Its previous get-togethers with its not-so-friendly neighboring districts are infamous for turning into colossal games of angry birds. Only in these games, the slingshot substitutes for billion-dollar defense budgets in taxpayer expense, and the birds are, unfortunately, not of the flappy variety.
Yet, Whimsyville’s sovereign, Madam Boom-a-lot, defends these high-impact, oh-so-significant pops, stating, “It’s just our way of expressing our slight disapproval.” Slight disapproval that has famously turned town squares into modern art installations of the explosive variety.
Over in frequently squeezed SqueezyVille, citizens are not exactly thrilled about the situation. Being on the receiving end of Whimsyville’s gigantic ‘love letters’ is all but enjoyable. De-Blasto, the man in charge of SqueezyVille, shakes his head, as he has to remember again what color his city arch used to be.
“We feel the love, all right,” commented one citizen of SqueezyVille, evasively gesturing to the recent mark left by one of Whimsyville’s particularly affectionate packages. “It’s just not the type of love one dreams of.”
As reports continue to trickle in about the ongoing clash between these two, it is becoming increasingly evident that the dictionary definition of “peace” is vastly different in this area of the globe. Yet, hope remains. As long as there are those who believe in resolution, goofy world leaders continue to nudge each other in hopes of instituting some form of ceasefire. Until then, how many more super significant pops will we hear from Whimsyville?
It’s like a global game of Whack-A-Mole meets Battleship, the rules of which are only understood by the players involved with every missed wall and direct hit, adding to the spectator’s confusion. One can only hope that the explosive game of tag between Whimsyville and SqueezyVille comes to a cease-fire before ‘game over’ takes on a whole new, and understandably dire, meaning.
“The sparks are flying in our volatile game of love,” stated an observer of the Whimsyville and SqueezyVille saga. In this event, the term ‘volatile’ seems to be an astronomical understatement.
As we wrap up our coverage on these unconventional star-crossed locales, the world looks on in bewilderment, screaming silently – “Can’t we all just get along?” The resounding echo is yet to be felt, and until it does, those humongous, impactful pops will continue to be a part of the jingle-jangle of everyday life in SqueezyVille.
