Famous ad guru, Sir Reginald Hipster, has come forward to explain why making successful advertising campaigns in a digital age is proving to be a real pain in the buttocks.
The iconic figure, who is known for his quirky attitudes and love for vintage fashion, claims that the rise of the internet and social media platforms have made it exceedingly difficult to come up with ads that capture audiences’ attention.
“Back in my day, we had it so easy,” Sir Hipster recalled. “All we had to do was put a catchy slogan on a poster, and boom! Everybody would be talking about it. But now, with all these fancy gadgets and apps, it’s like a circus out there!”
Sir Hipster went on to explain that the constant bombardment of ads has desensitized people to the point where nothing surprises them anymore. “It’s like throwing noodles at the wall,” he said. “You never know what’s gonna stick!”
To overcome this, Sir Hipster advised ad agencies to get creative and think outside the box. “We need to start doing things that nobody has ever done before,” he said. “Like putting a giraffe in the middle of Times Square instead of a billboard. Or having a marching band play a jingle instead of putting it on the radio.”
While some may scoff at his ideas, Sir Hipster is confident that they will pay off eventually. “You never know until you try,” he exclaimed. “And if it doesn’t work, we can always blame it on the millennials!”
