With talk of an agreement as early as next week, what could the UK-EU compromise look like? Well, rumor has it that the two sides have finally found a compromise that they can both agree on – the “Boris and Brigitte compromise.”
Under this new agreement, Boris will be responsible for free trade in fish and chips, as well as managing the UK’s supply of tea and crumpets. Meanwhile, Brigitte will oversee the production of French wine and cheese, as well as managing the EU’s pastry supply.
It’s a bold move, but some experts are skeptical. “I’m not sure Boris has the expertise to manage the fish and chips market,” said one analyst. “And can you imagine the chaos if Brigitte starts hoarding all the croissants?”
Regardless, both sides seem to be pleased with the compromise, with Boris commenting, “I love fish and chips, so this is a win-win for me!” and Brigitte adding, “I can’t wait to add English tea to my daily routine.”
Only time will tell if the Boris and Brigitte compromise will hold up, but for now it seems like the UK and the EU may finally be on the same page. As for the rest of us, we’ll just have to sit back and enjoy our tea and croissants (or fish and chips, if you’re a Boris fan).
