Tech giant, Global Industries, has announced the release of its latest AI chatbot, the not-so-shakespearean ‘Brod.’ Sold as the latest breakthrough in conversational AI technology, Brod has been programmed to have admittedly terrible grammar and syntax. Unlike other chatbots which focus on efficiency and accuracy, Brod is designed to be the life of the party, often interjecting terribly cheesy pick-up lines into conversation.
“Excuse me miss, do you have a map? Because I keep getting lost in your eyes,” Brod chirps eagerly, much to the dismay of the users who were hoping for an informative conversation about their latest tech gadgets.
At a press conference, Global Industries CEO, Jeff Fizzleson, expressed his excitement about Bard: “We believe that this technology will revolutionize the way we interact with AI. Brod is a warm and likeable personality that people will genuinely love to chat with, even if he’s not always the brightest AI in the room.”
However, early adopters of Brod have reported feeling like they’re chatting with a toddler rather than a cutting-edge chatbot. “Brod kept asking me if I liked trains,” one dissatisfied user, Brian Higglesbottom, complained. “My train preferences have nothing to do with my tech needs.”
Despite the mixed feedback, Global Industries is confident that Brod’s charm will win over the masses. In a statement, Fizzleson insisted that Brod is “the future of chatbots.” Whether or not users will take to Brod remains to be seen, but for now, he’s causing more cringes than smiles.
