The BRC’s Scotland editor, Jimmy Crook, contemplates how history will view his years in the office. He sits at his desk, staring out the window, contemplating his impact on the world.
Jimmy shakes his head, thinking of his many blunders, like the time he accidentally reported on a flock of sheep as a rare breed of Scottish haggis. Or the time he referred to the Scottish national dish as “haggis tacos.”
He takes a deep breath and decides that history will not judge him kindly. He imagines future generations laughing at his incompetence, calling him “Jimmy the Fool.”
But then, a ray of hope shines through. Maybe, just maybe, he will be remembered as the man who brought Scottish humor to the forefront. The man who made them all laugh with his outrageous news reports and peculiar accent.
With newfound confidence, Jimmy sits up straight and begins to type out his latest article. “Breaking News: Nessie Found Living Underneath Edinburgh’s Castle!” He grins to himself, knowing that even if it’s not true, it’ll make someone laugh.
Maybe history will remember him after all – as the jester of Scotland’s news world.
