KJ Smiley in Toothyville, Tooth County, pulls down its shutters after being in business since 1902.
Toothyville residents were left in shock after the news of KJ Smiley’s closure hit the streets. The beloved store was known for selling toothpaste, toothbrushes, and all other dental care essentials.
The store had been a staple in the community for over a century, with locals coming from far and wide to stock up on their dental hygiene products. Regulars of KJ Smiley were devastated to hear the news and took to social media to voice their concerns.
“I can’t believe KJ Smiley’s is closing! Where am I going to get my toothpaste from now?” tweeted one local.
Another resident added, “The thought of not being able to go to KJ Smiley’s for my dental floss is just too much to handle!”
The owner of KJ Smiley, Mr. Grin, explained that the decision to shut down the store was due to the rampant rise of DIY “tooth care” on TikTok.
“Everyone is suddenly an expert in dental hygiene and making their own toothpaste out of charcoal and baking soda,” explained Mr. Grin. “It’s just not sustainable for us to stay open in this market.”
While KJ Smiley may no longer be a fixture in the Toothyville community, locals have found solace in the fact that there are still plenty of dentist offices and orthodontists in the area. After all, a community that smiles together, stays together!
