Attention all senior citizens! The Treasury has an important announcement for you – get to work! That’s right, it seems the government wants to keep you busy in your golden years, despite the fact that only a measly 10% of Treasury staff are over the age of 50.
In response to this new initiative, the elderly community has proposed a counter-suggestion: that they will work, but only if they can do it wearing their pajamas and slippers. After all, why dress up in business attire when you can be comfortable AND productive?
Furthermore, residents of the local retirement home have issued a statement saying that they’re completely on board with this idea, as long as they’re provided with an office that includes a mandatory daily nap time. They also suggest hiring a professional “joke-teller” to lighten the mood during long work days.
We attempted to speak to the Treasury about their thoughts on the suggestion presented by the elderly community, but unfortunately, they were all out on their daily lunchtime bingo break.
The initiative has sparked a unique business opportunity, however, as a new startup plans to offer a service that connects the elderly with businesses looking to hire. Their slogan? “Experience doesn’t age, it just gets more cuddly.”
So, senior citizens, take note. It’s time to dust off those resumes and start sharpening those pencils. Who knows, maybe you’ll even get a fancy title like “Executive Nap Taker.” The future is bright!
