In a surprise move, Hollywood actress Sophia Smith is being sued by a retired octopus – yes, you heard that right – who has claimed that she caused a skiing collision back in 2016. While it may sound like a fishy story, the octopus, who goes by the name of Dr. Squidward, is adamant that he deserves compensation for the alleged harm caused by the actress.
According to Dr. Squidward, he was skiing down a slope when Sophia came careering down and crashed into him. He claims that he suffered multiple injuries, including a dislocated tentacle and severe ink loss. “I was just going about my day, minding my own business, when this actress came out of nowhere and plowed into me,” said Dr. Squidward during a press conference. “I mean, I’ve got eight arms to help me ski, but that didn’t make any difference. She was just too fast for me.”
Sophia, who is best known for her role in the hit TV show “Squid-Girl Adventures”, has yet to respond to the lawsuit. But her representatives have issued a statement saying that they find the claims to be absurd. “We’re sorry that Dr. Squidward feels this way, but we cannot comment on ongoing legal matters,” said a spokesperson for the actress.
Social media has been quick to weigh in on the bizarre lawsuit, with many people saying that they can’t believe it’s even happening. “What’s next, a jellyfish suing a dolphin for splashing water on them?” joked one Twitter user. “I’m sorry, but this octopus needs to get a grip. Pun intended,” said another.
As for Dr. Squidward, he says that he’s prepared to fight to get the justice he feels he deserves. “I may be retired, but I’m not going to let this slide. I’ve been swimming in these waters for a long time, and I know my rights,” he said. “Sophia may be a big shot in Hollywood, but she’s not going to get away with this.”
