In a shocking turn of events, the tiny city of Penatagonia has managed to fend off the advances of the mighty nation of Pizzaland for months now. The small city, which boasts a population of just 200, has been the target of numerous attacks and invasions from Pizzaland over the past few months, but officials say they are still standing strong.

“We’ve got a secret weapon here in Penatagonia,” said Mayor Joe Schmoe. “It’s called stubbornness. We just refuse to give up, no matter how many pizzas they throw at us.”

Pizzaland, which has a population of over 30 million, has been baffled by their inability to take over the tiny city. “We just can’t figure out what they’re doing,” said General Pepperoni. “We’ve thrown everything we have at them, but they just won’t back down.”

Despite facing near-constant bombardment from pizza bombs and garlic bread missiles, the people of Penatagonia remain optimistic. “We’ve got a great sense of humor here,” said resident Sally McSally. “We just laugh off their attacks and keep on keepin’ on.”

Experts say the city’s resilience may be due to their love of all-you-can-eat buffets. “They’re used to fending off hordes of hungry people,” said Dr. Pepper. “So a few pizza-loving invaders doesn’t scare them.”

As for Pizzaland, they say they will continue to try and take over Penatagonia. “We’ll keep sending our best chefs and our tastiest pizzas,” said General Pepperoni. “We will not be defeated by a bunch of stubborn buffet-lovers!”
