Comedian develops hilarious case of pun-itis: A rare but entertaining affliction

Unidentified comedian Jonathan became the first person to develop a hilarious case of pun-itis, but it’s not exactly groundbreaking news.

Jonathan reportedly started making puns uncontrollably, leaving his friends and family members in fits of laughter. Though it sounds like a fun affliction to have, it’s been reported that Jonathan can’t stop making puns no matter how hard he tries.

“I asked him to pass the salt and he said ‘NaCl-ing’,” said Jonathan’s friend Michael. “It’s both hilarious and exhausting at the same time.”

Doctors say they’ve seen cases like Jonathan’s before, but it’s relatively rare. “It’s not necessarily dangerous, but it can be quite irritating for those around the affected individual,” said Dr. Fake Name.

Jonathan’s family is reportedly supportive of their pun-loving relative, but secretly hope he gets better soon. In the meantime, they’ve stocked up on joke books and plan to use their laughter as therapy until Jonathan recovers.

“He’s always been a bit of a jokester,” said Jonathan’s sister Sarah. “But this is on a whole other level. He’s basically become a walking dad joke.”

We wish Jonathan a speedy recovery and hope he can return to a more moderate level of pun-making in the near future.
