Tuesday’s spontaneous eruption of Mrs. Johnson’s cat, Mittens — despite relatively healthy kibble and water consumption — left many pet owners scratching their heads.
“I just don’t understand it,” said neighbor and fellow cat owner, Mr. Smith. “Mittens always seemed like such a well-adjusted feline. I can’t imagine what could have caused this sudden outburst.”
Experts have been brought in to investigate the incident, analyzing everything from the cat’s sleeping patterns to its favorite toys. But so far, no clear motive has been found.
“I think it’s purely psychological,” said renowned pet psychologist Dr. Brown. “Perhaps Mittens is experiencing some kind of feline existential crisis. We may never know for sure.”
In the meantime, Mrs. Johnson has assured her neighbors that Mittens is perfectly fine, despite the occasional outburst. “He’s just expressing himself,” she said with a shrug. “Isn’t that what we all want?”
