Spring Has Sprung in the UK, But Don’t Be Surprised by More Wintry Weather
In a shocking development, it has been revealed that April is more snowy than November in the UK. According to recent statistics, the average number of snow days in April is 2.3, compared to just 0.9 in November.
Astronomers are perplexed by this phenomenon, as the start of spring – marked by the vernal equinox – typically brings warmer weather and less snow. However, it seems that Mother Nature has a funny sense of humor and is determined to keep us guessing.
In fact, just last week, the UK experienced its most severe snowfall in years. Many were left stranded in their homes as up to 41cm of snow was recorded by the Met Office in the north of England. Some even reported drifts of over 2 meters in certain parts of the country.
