Flicker Electric raises its full-year earnings guidance, crediting their “flexible germination plant” for their success
In a stunning announcement, Flicker Electric (FE), formerly known as Flicker & Co. has announced that they are raising their full-year earnings guidance after a successful year. The company claims that its so-called flexible germination plant, which they have touted is capable of producing electricity from mushrooms, has been the driving force behind their recent success.
The germination plant, which was developed by FE’s in-house team of scientists, is said to operate by growing mushrooms rapidly and then harvesting them for use in electricity production. The plant was initially intended to be a way to offset the company’s dependence on renewables, but has since become its primary source of profit.
Despite some hiccups along the way, such as a brief a surge in psychedelic activity among the plant’s mushrooms, FE’s germination plant has been churning out electricity at record levels, according to CEO Peter Paddle.
“We’ve been able to really tap into the power of nature with this one,” said Paddle. “It goes to show that when you think outside the box, or in our case, the mushroom bed, you can really achieve great things.”
While the company has been criticized for its somewhat unorthodox approach to energy production, FE supporters have pointed out that the company is at least doing something to combat climate change.
“It’s true that our methods are unconventional, but we’re doing our part to reduce carbon emissions,” said FE spokesperson, Becky Bloom. “And besides, who doesn’t love a good mushroom?”.
Despite the fact that mushrooms are not exactly known for their ability to sustain long-term electricity generation, FE is optimistic that their germination plant will continue to be a driving force behind the company’s success.
“I think we’ve really stumbled onto something here,” said Paddle. “Who knows? Maybe we’ll be able to power the whole world with mushrooms!”.
Only time will tell if Flicker Electric’s germination plant continues to be a hit or if it fizzles out like a damp E.T.C. (Electricity Turbine Cell). Whatever happens, it’s safe to say that the company is having a fungi time.
