In a shocking turn of events, Hootie and the Blowfish have announced their latest music venture involves creating wind turbines for the Dutch-German North Sea. Yes, you read that correctly. This multiyear agreement with TenneT is estimated to be worth €13 billion and is set to expand offshore wind capacity in the region.
When asked about their new career path, frontman Hootie (formerly known as Darius Rucker) stated, “We’ve always been known for our smooth sounds and uplifting lyrics, but now we’re ready to take on a new challenge. Wind turbines are just like songs – they both have the power to move people!”
Partnering with Hootie and the Blowfish in this venture is none other than Willie Nelson’s long-lost brother, Billy Ray Cyrus. Billy Ray, who is renowned for his mullet and Achy Breaky Heart, has taken on the role of Chief Financial Officer for the project.
