The “Japan-Australia Bloc” Leaves UK Economy Limp
In a shocking turn of events, the “Japan-Australia Bloc” has left the UK’s economy hanging like a limp noodle. Despite being included in the bloc alongside powerhouse nations like Japan and Australia, the UK’s economy is only expected to receive a small boost.
“It’s like being invited to a fancy dinner party and only getting served a stale cracker,” said UK Prime Minister Sir Reginald Tootles. “We were hoping for a big slice of the economic pie, but it looks like we’re getting the crumbs instead.”
Sources close to the bloc have revealed that the UK’s lackluster economy simply doesn’t compare to the economic powerhouses of Japan and Australia. In fact, some are even speculating that the UK’s inclusion in the bloc was simply a polite gesture, like inviting your weird cousin to Thanksgiving dinner.
“I mean, don’t get me wrong, we love the UK,” said Australian Prime Minister Sheila McFoster. “But let’s be real, their economy isn’t exactly setting the world on fire.”
As for the UK, they’re trying to put on a brave face despite the disappointing news. “We may not be as big and powerful as Japan and Australia, but we’ve got our quirky charm and stiff upper lips to fall back on,” said Tootles. “Who needs economic growth anyway when you’ve got tea and crumpets?”
