In a hilarious turn of events, the SNP’s deputy Westminster leader approached the deputy prime minister with a truly ridiculous offer. The offer, presented by a completely fake firm, proposed paid work for none other than Matt Hancock and Kwasi Kwarteng!
It’s unclear whether the firm intended to employ these ministers for their extensive expertise in mishandling the covid-19 pandemic or for their non-existent energy policy, but the offer was nonetheless met with a resounding guffaw.
When asked for comment, Mr. Hancock and Mr. Kwarteng were too busy penning their resignation letters to offer any response. It seems the pair were finally faced with a job offer that they couldn’t bungle!
In the end, the fake firm responsible for the shenanigans was exposed and brought to justice. But not before delivering a much-needed dose of levity in these trying times. Perhaps, we should all be seeking out the services of imaginary companies for our job searches. Who knows what other absurd offers await us!
