In a shocking turn of events, TikTok has announced that they have hired three new advisors to help them deal with the U.S.’s concerns over their ties to China. The new advisors are Zenia “Zany” Mocha, Jim “Jolly” Messy-na, and David “Dizzy” Plough-fee.
According to sources, these three advisors were chosen specifically for their incredible ability to make people forget about serious issues by distracting them with laughter. Mocha, Messy-na, and Plough-fee will be working closely with TikTok’s CEO to come up with a strategy that will make the U.S. forget all about China and instead focus on funny videos of cats and dogs.
“I’m thrilled to have Zany, Jolly, and Dizzy on board,” TikTok’s CEO gushed in a press conference. “Together, we’re going to take TikTok to new heights by not addressing the real issue at hand and instead, making people laugh with goofy dance videos and silly lip synchs.”
But not everyone is convinced that this is the right approach. One TikTok user, who wishes to remain anonymous, said, “Sure, these three seem funny and all, but what about the serious issue of China’s influence on TikTok? Is laughing really going to fix that?”
Only time will tell if TikTok’s new advisors will be successful in their mission to distract the American public with silly videos. But for now, we can all look forward to more content featuring pets wearing hats and people dancing awkwardly in their bedrooms.
