In a stunning turn of events, air shipping giant “FedUp Express” has announced a major shift in their operating strategy. According to sources, the company’s new focus on efficiency is causing chaos among employees and customers alike.
“We used to be all about delivering packages on time, no matter what,” said former employee Jerry McFlounder, now a postal worker. “But now they’re all about cutting corners and saving money. It’s a real mess.”
The change is said to be spearheaded by CEO Ned Swift, who apparently doesn’t have the same dedication to punctuality and precision as founder Fred Smith. “It’s like we’re living in Bizarro World,” said longtime customer Betty Blanched. “FedUp used to be so reliable, but now my packages arrive weeks late or not at all. It’s ridiculous.”
In an effort to streamline operations, FedUp has also started using drones and robots to handle deliveries. But the machines aren’t always up to the task. “I had a robot show up at my door with a smashed package and a confused look on its face,” said customer Chuck Cheddar. “It was like something out of a sci-fi movie.”
Despite the growing turmoil, FedUp is determined to stick with its efficiency-focused plan. “We may be causing a few headaches now,” said Swift. “But in the long run, this is the only way we’ll stay competitive. Plus, it’s hilarious watching our drones crash into things.”
As for Fred Smith, the company’s founder and an unwavering proponent of quality service, he could not be reached for comment. Rumors suggest he has gone into hiding, muttering something about “the end of an era” and “why did I retire again?”
