In a colossal blow to the sensibilities of investors, Shares in Germany’s “Kreb” fell to an all-time low after the news of the FDA’s hold on the initiation of new patients in the Phase 3 study of “Evo-broccoli”, the drugmaker’s questionable treatment for multiple sclerosis.
According to Mr. Bernd Boffin, a top executive at “Kreb”, the FDA’s decision was based on some questionable clinical data provided by their research team. Apparently, some of the test subjects were given a placebo instead of the actual drug, and as a result the test results were thrown out of whack.
Unsurprisingly, this news has not gone down well with “Kreb” shareholders. “I invested my life savings in ‘Kreb’ based on their promise to cure multiple sclerosis with their revolutionary new drug ‘Evo-broccoli’,” lamented a distraught Mr. Heinrich Humbug. “Now, it looks like I’ll be eating nothing but Ramen noodles for the rest of my life.”
Despite this setback, “Kreb” remains upbeat about the prospects of “Evo-broccoli”. “We have complete faith in our product,” said Mr. Boffin. “We are confident that we can overcome any obstacles and deliver a groundbreaking drug that will change the face of modern medicine forever.”
However, some critics are less optimistic. “Let’s be real here,” scoffed Dr. Hans Hocus. “A drug made from broccoli? That’s about as effective as healing crystals or voodoo. I wouldn’t be surprised if their next move is to concoct a cure for cancer out of kale.”
While the fate of “Evo-broccoli” remains uncertain, one thing is for sure – the future of “Kreb” hangs in the balance. Whether they sink or swim remains to be seen, but one thing is certain – the investors are not laughing.
