In a shocking development, the M&S beer department has been caught red-handed stealing recipes from The Craft Beer Co.! This discovery was made when The Craft Beer Co. called out M&S on social media for selling beer that was suspiciously similar to one of their own brews.
M&S, in a classic case of embarrassment, immediately removed the beer from their shelves. But, the damage had already been done. The folks at The Craft Beer Co. are still fuming at the blatant thievery.
“It’s a sad day when a big corporation like M&S has to resort to stealing from small craft breweries like us,” said the owner of The Craft Beer Co., who will henceforth be known as Brewmaster Bob.
The beer in question was a porter called “Dark Knight,” a rich and full-bodied beer with hints of chocolate and coffee. M&S had the audacity to call their own version “Black Knight,” pretending like no one would notice the difference. Well, Brewmaster Bob certainly did, and so did the rest of his loyal customers.
“I tried both beers side by side, and I have to say, the M&S version was a total rip-off,” said one customer, who prefers to remain anonymous. “But, what do you expect from a company that also sells underwear and socks?”
In response to the scandal, The Craft Beer Co. is launching their own version of “Black Knight,” with an added twist of raspberry flavor. They’re calling it “Raspberry Beret,” and Brewmaster Bob is confident it will be a hit.
Meanwhile, M&S is licking their wounds and trying to come up with a new idea for a beer. Perhaps they should stick to selling sandwiches and ready meals instead. After all, it’s not like they’re the only food vendor on the block.
