Residents of the small village of Sillyville are protesting against a new garlic bread factory that has disrupted their peaceful lives on the shores.
The factory, owned by the notorious businessman Mr. Carb, produces an overpowering garlic smell that lingers in the air for miles. Local fishermen say the strong scent is driving fish away from their usual habitats, making it tough for them to make a living.
“I used to be able to fill my boat with fish in just a few hours, but since this factory arrived, I can hardly catch a minnow!” said one fisherman, aptly named Bob Bait.
The smell of garlic has also led to a spike in the sale of mints and gum in the village, with residents trying to combat the overpowering aroma.
“You used to be able to smell the fresh sea air here, but now all you can smell is garlic. It’s just ridiculous!” said local resident Sally Seashore.
Protestors have gone as far as picketing outside the factory, holding signs that read “Garlic Bread No, Fish Yes!” and “Mr. Carb, Garlic Kills!”.
The village council has also stepped in to try and resolve the issue, though it seems that Mr. Carb isn’t budging on his decision to continue with the factory.
Only time will tell if Sillyville’s fishermen will ever be able to reel in a good catch again, or if the garlic bread factory will continue to reign supreme.
