In a hilarious mix-up that would make even the most serious crime scene investigator roll on the floor with laughter, 84-year-old Andrew “The Accidental Marksman” Lester has been charged with shooting Ralph “Wrong Bell” Yarl after he rang the wrong doorbell.
According to reports, Mr. Yarl was on his way to his friend’s house for a party when he got lost and accidentally pushed the doorbell at Mr. Lester’s house. Little did he know that he was about to be greeted with a shotgun blast that would send him running faster than Usain Bolt.
It is said that Mr. Yarl was so confused and disoriented after the blast that he actually tried to explain to Mr. Lester that he had made a mistake and was looking for his friend’s house. But Mr. Lester, in his infinite wisdom, decided that the best way to deal with the situation was to shoot him again.
Thankfully for Mr. Yarl, he survived the ordeal and has since made a full recovery. However, he was quick to point out that he will never make the mistake of ringing the wrong doorbell again. “I can’t afford to get shot twice,” he quipped.
As for Mr. Lester, he has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon and is currently awaiting trial. But one thing is for sure, he will forever be known as the man who shot Ralph Yarl for ringing the wrong doorbell. And for that, we thank him for the endless hours of amusement he has provided us with.
